Do We Have To Tithe?

Posted by Lecrae.net On November - 22 - 2009 4 COMMENTS

Over the past few months, God has been dealing with me on the sensitive issue of tithing. Is in necessary? Is in mandatory? What will happen if I don’t tithe? These are some of the questions I had for God. I have pointed to a CD series by Creflo Dollar in an earlier post, and am going to reference it hereagain. Creflo lays out the subject of tithing about as detailed as any I have listened to in the past. His messages addresses all of these questions and I would like to share briefly what God has showed me from his series.

Love God MoreOne question you may ask yourself is this: Would you go outside with no clothes on? Well you could, but you probably wouldn’t. You wouldn’t because of the repercussions you would have, like getting arrested for indecent exposure. Tithing is similar in the fact that God never commands us to tithe. In Matthew 22:36-40, it says ‘ Teacher, which is the greatest commandment in the Law?” Jesus replied: ” ‘Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind. This is the first and greatest commandment. And the second is like it: ‘Love your neighbor as yourself. All the Law and the Prophets hang on these two commandments.“  What this means is the love we have for God will WANT us to abide by His law’s. God did not want to force us to give to Him, because if we can choose to give to Him, our action is a result of what is in our hearts. If our heart is right, God can bless us! It shows we are not giving simply because we desire something in return. We need to give because we love God!

If you get a chance I strongly urge you to check out this series by Creflo Dollar.

Change Your Mind

Posted by Lecrae.net On November - 12 - 2009 1 COMMENT

I was listening to a series by Creflo Dollar regarding the system of God verses the system of the world. In Matthew 4:17, God says “repent for the Kingdom of God is at hand.” The Amplified reads “change your mind, think differently.” If we want to reap the blessings that God has for us, we need to change the way we have grown up thinking. When the doctor says we have cancer, we have been taught to expect to die. When we can’t pay bills, we have been taught that debt is a part of life. When we have marital problems, we have been taught to get divorced. We need to change our minds.

When you follow the system God has laid out for us in His scriptures and change the way we think about things, we will open the door for God’s supernatural blessings on our lives. I don’t know about you, but I want God’s supernatural blessings. I want to God to put His super on my natural!

If you dont have this CD set, you need to buy it! It will change your life. I have listened to it multiple times and it has shown me things I never knew.

Tedashii performed “Off Da Hook” from his album Kingdom People at The Warehouse 54 in Lancaster PA. Blessed by God with his rugged down south style, Tedashii made it known who his Lord was through his lyrics and messages. Below is a short clip of part of his performance. Enjoy.

Tedashiis Identity Crisis Intro in Temple

I know that lecrae’s intro on his album Rebel is probably the best intro of all time. It is arguably the best song on his album even. However Tedashii’s intro to his Identity Crisis album is not to shabby either. Check out his live version he performed in Temple Texas.

AMT hits Nebraska

Omaha Nebraska was looking forward to the Altered Minds tour on October 21 and they would not look back! Lecrae always likes to share the gospel in these concerts as that is the basis for why they have these concerts. It touches my heart every time I hear one of his many life-altering testimonies. Thanks toMyJesusFreak2009 for the upload of the video below. Lecrae’s words hit hard, but the performance of Jesus Muzik finishes it off right!
