Altered Minds Tour Hits Cleveland

Posted by Lecrae.net On October - 6 - 2009 ADD COMMENTS

Cleveland Ohio expected great things from Lecrae and Tedashii on October 3rd, but many say the show exceeded expectations. With his candid charisma and his energetic attitude, Lecrae performed flawlessly and Tedashii showed off his down-south raw rhythms as no one else can.

Paradiseyouth posted a great interview with Lecrae and Tedashii on youtube and I thought I would  share it with our readers. It is inspiring, truthful, and humbling.

Oh ya, we would like to thank Sam Ross for listening to God and helping the youth group and leading them to where they are today!

Sho Baraka Interviews with DaSouth.com

Posted by Lecrae.net On September - 6 - 2009 ADD COMMENTS

If you have not had a chance to check this interview out, you are missing something inspiriational and spiritual. Sho Baraka is a very tallented indivdual with a strong desire to help people who need to be led to Jesus. He also loves the Lord with all his might. In his interview, there are 2 main topics; his new church called Blueprint Church, and his upcoming album release entitled “Lions and Liars.”

sho barakaWhen asked about what the Blueprint Church will be all about and how it got its name, Sho’s response was “The whole idea of the name is to be grounded in the blueprint of Scripture. You’re going to hear a gospel-centered message, you’re going to hear a God-centered message, God-centered singing, God-centered poetry, videos. We’re going to try to do an excellent production, but ultimately it’s all going to be for the glory of the Lord. We have a tag that we go by that states ‘authentically connecting around Biblical truths.’ Our job is to authentically connect, but solely under Biblical truth. We don’t want to connect through being the urban church plant necessarily; we don’t want to connect solely under being people who can understand the hip-hop culture or who can understand the corporate market, or people who can understand Black history or Southern hospitality. We want to connect with people on all those different levels, but through Biblical authority and Biblical truth.”(taken from DaSouth.com )

As far as his new album with anticipation of being released early next year, Sho did not enlighten us as much as we hoped he would. He did however state that his time spent with his friends and fellow artists durring the DWYL tour helped him be challenged by them. Being around people like Lecrae, Tedashii, Trip Lee, Flame, DJ Official (producer/DJ), and Benjah (sound engineer, producer, writer and artist).

I encourage you to check out the whole interview at DaSouth.com

Da T.R.U.T.H Releases The Big Picture

Posted by Lecrae.net On July - 24 - 2009 ADD COMMENTS

datruth-the-big-pictureAfter much anticipation, we finally get to hear the bangin beats of Da T.R.U.T.H on his brand new album entitled The Big Picture.  Originally set to release several weeks ago, this album was pushed back to July 21st.  Lecrae.net will have a review of this album in the near future, but in the mean time, get your hands on this album!

As I write this, The Big Picture currently sits atop the gosple charts on iTunes and is ranked #32 in all iTunes downloads! Can I get an AMEN! I can’t wait to see what God has in store for Emanuel Lee Lambert, Jr., AKA Da T.R.U.T.H. and I pray God moves many people through this album.

I am a believer in spreading the word and Truth actually was one of the first christian rap artist that I listened to. This album falls right in line with all the others that this brother has produced. From beginning to end it’s packed with the Word. Listen before you judge and let the words touch your heart. God Bless!

Bobby Biship’s Everyday Man RELEASED!

Posted by Lecrae.net On July - 14 - 2009 ADD COMMENTS

Bobby Bishop

I have not personally met Bobby Bishop, however I can tell you what just about everything I read refers to him as – down to earth. He is no rock star nor is he a guy you will see followed by the paparazzi, he is just your everyday man. He is a father, husband, son, and a friend to many. Blessed by God with an amazing ability to proclaim the word of God in all of his rhythmic lyrics.

What exactly is the Everyday Man? Well he is your common, average Joe willing to help an elderly lady cross a busy intersection or help a neighbor with yard work. Although Bobby does not claim to have all the answers, he will tell you about the One who does.

Everyday Man is one of those releases that is going to get attention — either because it is so good or because it is going to make some folks extremely uncomfortable. Listening to songs about the life that Bobby Bishop willingly lives in order to help others can lead to a fairly ugly picture the next time you look in the mirror. Bobby captures and delivers a thought-provoking yet humbling journey as he shares his life, thoughts and discoveries about himself in this CD. (Check out the album review at about.com)

Michael Jackson Inspires Mase

Posted by Lecrae.net On July - 2 - 2009 ADD COMMENTS

maseI just read an article on Da South.com’s website stating Mase may be ready for a comeback to the rapping world. Apparently, Mase was talking to DJ Self on New York’s Power 105.1 radio station aired a Drake remix of “Best I Ever Had” and stated Jackson’s death is what inspired him to return to music. His nephew told Mase that Drake was the hottest thing out there right now and once Mase listened to it he said “I’m going to jump on this joint!”

Even with the rough road he has had for himself over the past, I believe Mase can come up with some real bangin beats to bring to Christian Rap/HipHop. He has incredible talent – and with the right heart, God can move people through him. I pray He can!
