Finally, the most anticipated album of the year for Christian hip Hop is here. Trip Lee’s album Between Two Worlds is devoted to helping people see life in a broken world properly (the way God sees it). The album is in many ways a collection of reflections on life in our fallen world. It’s meant to celebrate the good things, be real about the difficult things, and look hopefully towards the solution. It’s not meant to be a comprehensive study on life in a fallen world, only reflections on some of the things that were on my heart. It’s almost like a reality show, not depicting just my life, but all of our lives. And my desire was for all of my reflections to be rooted in a biblical worldview. So I talk about human limitations, friendships, even music, but of course from a Christian perspective.

Trip says he chose the title” Between Two Worlds” because that is where he finds himself. And the cover is meant to reflect that reality. “Not only am I fallen, but I live in a world that is fallen, interacting with fallen people and fallen situations. However, as a believer my citizenship is in Heaven (Philippians 3:20-21) and I look to the day when Jesus will ‘recreate’ His creation. So while I seek to navigate life in this world, I look forward to the new Heaven and new Earth (Revelation 21). But until I get there, I worship and follow the Hero who already saved the day.”

It will be tough to follow the great success of his sophomore album 20/20, but Trip assures us that it will blow us out of the water. Da T.R.U.T.H Releases The Big Picture

After much anticipation, we finally get to hear the bangin beats of Da T.R.U.T.H on his brand new album entitled The Big Picture. Originally set to release several weeks ago, this album was pushed back to July 21st. Lecrae.net will have a review of this album in the near future, but in the mean time, get your hands on this album!

As I write this, The Big Picture currently sits atop the gosple charts on iTunes and is ranked #32 in all iTunes downloads! Can I get an AMEN! I can’t wait to see what God has in store for Emanuel Lee Lambert, Jr., AKA Da T.R.U.T.H. and I pray God moves many people through this album.

I am a believer in spreading the word and Truth actually was one of the first christian rap artist that I listened to. This album falls right in line with all the others that this brother has produced. From beginning to end it’s packed with the Word. Listen before you judge and let the words touch your heart. Bobby Biship’s Everyday Man RELEASED!

I have not personally met Bobby Bishop, however I can tell you what just about everything I read refers to him as – down to earth. He is no rock star nor is he a guy you will see followed by the paparazzi, he is just your everyday man. He is a father, husband, son, and a friend to many. Blessed by God with an amazing ability to proclaim the word of God in all of his rhythmic lyrics.

What exactly is the Everyday Man? Well he is your common, average Joe willing to help an elderly lady cross a busy intersection or help a neighbor with yard work. Although Bobby does not claim to have all the answers, he will tell you about the One who does.

Everyday Man is one of those releases that is going to get attention — either because it is so good or because it is going to make some folks extremely uncomfortable. Listening to songs about the life that Bobby Bishop willingly lives in order to help others can lead to a fairly ugly picture the next time you look in the mirror.
